Analysis of Student Learning Whole Class The spreadsheet data above shows the rate of increase or decrease by student per objective based on the change in pre- and post- assessment scores. The chart below shows the percent of objectives that showed an increase by student.

The data above demonstrates that all student showed overall growth. While I was pleased with that, I was discouraged that some students did worse on the post-test than they did on the pre-test for some objectives. Subgroup I have chosen to examine the progress of Student 1 and Student I chose to examine these subgroups because the requirements to take my class have recently changed.

In the past there was a prerequisite for this course so I had stronger students. I classified students as either low-performing, middle-performing, or high-performing based on previous work in the class. Individuals I have chosen to examine the progress made by Student 1 and Student I felt it necessary to review their progress specifically after looking over the chart in the "Whole Class" section of this analysis because these students made the most and least progress in the class respectively.

He started off doing very well in my class and but then his performance decreased quite a bit. He went through a period when he had a very bad attitude which a classmate told me was due to relationship problems and then baseball season started.

He did very poorly on the pretest, so he had a great deal of room for improvement. He did very well on all of the assignments in this section and as shown by the spreadsheet at the top of the page, that work translated into a great deal of growth on the post-test.
